New Product Development / Key Customer Support
We need an energetic person to work with and support our key accounts in the Pet Product Industry
Develop new products based on customer requests, including private label brands. Respond to specific requests by product or category, participate in category reviews. Review sales of existing items, identify underperforming products and suggest replacements. Understand what the customer is looking for and create products and options to better meet their needs. Communicate with China based manufacturers to find, develop and bring to market the products our customers are asking for.
In this position you will also be charged to do competitive market research, so we know what various retailers offer in different product categories.
The right applicant will possess a college degree and 3 years + experience working in a marketing or new product development capacity. Pet Product experience of some type is desired. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must. Experience with Retail Link, VendorNet, Aventail and My Sourcing Center are big plusses. 20% travel required.
